When you take it to the limit...

...your most x-treme dreams can come true. Uber style!

That's a little quote I came up with that kind of expresses my feeling on the uberness of x-treme excitement with turbo.

What's been up? I had a great time up in Ft. Collins with Spence and Jeny. The Cowboys kinda blew it against CSU, so that was definitley dissapointing. Work has been pretty tough lately, but I think I will be able to pull it all off. I am turbo by the way.

Anyway, I plan on a nice clean post later this week. Wait for it!

Always check what you write

So I am talking to this new girl that I got hooked up with. We are just kind of e-mailing right now to kind of test the waters. Typically what I like to do when we are at this phase is ask a few questions every email (favorite this, favorite that) just to get a feel for who they are.

Well I am doing this with this new girl when she asks me 3 questions. I start writing answers but I just was not in a mode to write anything good. Then it occurs to me I have answered these before! Thanks to Gmail a quick search later and sure enough there are the exact same 3 questions in the same order with fantastic answers.

Being the engineer that I am I decided how nice...a relationship template. Being all suave I copy and paste my answers over into the new email and read through it real quick to make sure there are no references to the old girl. Push send.

"I don't know where you got the idea that I was in a major accident."

Oh crap.

Don't worry, she managed to form some kind of reason why I would think that. I'm not gonna answer if she was right though. Just gonna look the other way and make sure I check everything I copy and paste now. HAHA!

Company Party

Tonight I have yet another company party. This one is to mourn the loss of our current president and celebrate the birth of a new one! I don't know whether to wear black or bring party balloons. I think I'll just end up going in my underwear as usual.

So what has been up? By my lack of posts I can assure you not very much. Work has been pretty good still, if not a little busy. Home life has been as nerdy as ever, and the Pokes beat those mormons last weekend! This weekend I am heading to Laramie on Saturday to watch the Pokes in their last homestand of the year. Really hoping they can pull it off. next weekend it is off to Ft. Collins for a game and hooking up with Spence and Jenny whom I have not seen since before Christmas. The weekend after that a bunch of guys from the office (UW alumns) are headed to Colorado Springs for the last game of the season.

So yeah, I caught you all up!

I wanna be JB.

Jack Black. That's right.

All this week as I toiled away on my cingular jobs I listened to Tenacious D. The man is a genious of epic magnitude! Then I watched a short movie he starred in. Elite brilliance!

The week was good my friends. High quality work (not dog tubs) leads to a more satisfied worker. Feels good I guess. Not to much going on this weekend, but the Pokes do the Utah swing...which hopefully becomes a Utah Sweep. I just hope they beat the kitties!

Have good weekends yo!

Old Friends, Mardi Gras, and the Cardiac Pokes

Saturday I ventured to Laramie to enjoy what is typically the most boring game of the season...Air Force. With their slow it down kind of play, normally even the students are considering sitting down and being quiet.

Not the case Saturday as the Pokes went on to win in overtime. Took me back to the days when we were good. That same old feeling that keeps making me drive the 2 hours up to Laramie every weekend.

Last night they did it again and beat New Mexico.

Friday night I went out with some old friends to the bar. Good times were had by all as I proceeded to embarrass myself and endure a Saturday morning headache.

Mardi Gras night for the law club was Saturday after the game. Not feeling up for drinking, I was definitley up for some eatin. They had all this really good cajun food...which later was the death of me...but I loved it.

The Sunday was the Superbowl party. Lots of beer and goodies were consumed (most notably the Pierogies!) Boring Boring Boring Superbowl, but I gotta say the killing the cat commercial was classic. Oh, and how does the halftime show go from bare breast on CBS, to Hey Jude on Fox?

No plans for the coming weekend, but then again I am Nick.

The saltiest seed.

Those who know me...even just barely, know my deep affinity for pumpkin seeds. Most also know that I find the seeds at grocery stores to be repulsive and inedible.

Every Thursday we get an announcement that the candy man is here. Normally I ignore it aside from noting that he only comes Thursday so the week must almost be over. Today I decided to see what good he had in store. He had everything...and all in huge packages. Licorice in blazing green, jaw breakers by the bakers dozen, and those weird little cracker/pretzel things that I think are supposed to be asian.

Anyway, he also had a great big bag of pumpkin seeds. Not having a sweet tooth today I decided I would give them a shot. That's when the fun started.

I got back to my desk and proceeded to shove a handful in my mouth. *GAG* *CHOKE!* They truly were the saltiest seeds known to man. My tongue is still numb. Somehow I got the idea that if I soaked them in water I could reduce the saltiness. This worked, but left the seeds soggy. A friend suggested I put them on the lightboard to recrisp. After explaining to the prez what pumpkin seeds were doing on his lightboard I decided to just crack them open one by one.

But you all know how lazy I am. In the end I have 2 pounds of pumpkin seeds and no desire to eat them. *sigh*

Why do you all keep coming back?

I mean, my posts have become very sporadic, the ones I do post are bland and boring, and yet I am still getting some 20 hits a day. Heck I don't even check my blog everyday anymore...haha!

Well since you keep coming back I will try to throw something new up just for you. Work is going well. Today I specified my very first hair trap for a vet tub. I also selected a drain so as to wash all the dog blood down with a hose after a surgery. I could handle doing more vet clinics. Its like a hospital, only we really don't care as much.

Other things going on? Well on Sunday I am going to a Super Bowl party that one of my buddies from work is throwing. I am making my fabulous salsa to bring along and he ordered pierogies all the way from Pennsylvania. Pierogies are ravioli like pasta filled with mashed potatoes and other such things, then boiled and seared in butter and onions. Can't wait to try some real ones!

Awh crap, back to selecting a crap hose for the kennel!
